Seat Cover Company was founded in 1966 by Glen “Pluto” Platts. Platts immediately became a respected name in the upholstery and used car businesses. Pluto opened one of the very first used car dealerships in the Salt Lake Valley and in 1966, he brought his sons aboard and opened the Seat Cover Center on 1400 S. Main St. in Salt Lake City, Utah. For the next 30 years, they honed their skills to become Salt Lake’s finest craftsmen. In 1996, Glen Platts retired and handed the business over to his sons, Dan (who worked alongside his family since the beginning in 1966) and his youngest son, Scott. Dan and Scott continue the family tradition of strict standards, affordable pricing and honest dealings that have made this a second generation business. We treat every customer just like those that have been with us for
